The main entrance to the city walls is right outside Pile Gate. Upon reaching Pile Gate, descend the steps to Stradun (the main street of Dubrovnik Old Town). On your right side, you'll see the large Onofrio Fountain, and on the left side, you will find the staircase leading up to the city walls.
